With the 12th Novembet Ps5 launch date coming up fast, there’s one question that seems to be top of mind for Playstation gamers. Will my games still work?
The Sony team hasn’t been shy about touting just how many of your PS4 games will still work on your new console, it’s a major feature considering many gamers have a 7 year catalogue of titles built up.
Ubisoft is no exception to the rule, they’ve announced that many of their PS4 games will work on your Playstation 5, there are however a few exceptions.
Ubisoft Games that Will Not Work on PS5
- Assassin’s Creed Syndicate
- Assassin’s Creed Chronicles Trilogy Pack
- Assassin’s Creed Chronicles India
- Assassin’s Creed Chronicles China
- Assassin’s Creed Chronicles Russia
- Risk
- Star Trek Bridge Crew
- Werewolves Within
- Space Junkies
If these are your go-to’s you’re going to have to hang on to that PS4 for a little while longer, but if you’re an Assassins Creed fan, hopefully the upcoming holiday release of Assassins Creed Valhalla will help ease the pain.
It’s worth noting however that even though these games are not being supported on the PS5 by Ubisoft, Sony has made some clear steps forward to improve it’s PS4 emulation, so, there’s still a chance that at some point the backwards compatibility for these games will arrive.
There’s a little good news on the Horizon for some Ubisoft fans however, with some titals being able to export your save game progress from your PS4 saves.
The current list of titles that will support this includes
- For Honor
- The Division 2
- The Crew 2
- Just Dance 2021 (Upcoming)
- Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake (Upcoming)
